The Firm is seeking an Associate with 1-3 years of experience in asbestos and product liability litigation to work with their APH Products Liability Group.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Taking depositions, attending hearings, and mediations as required
Drafting pleadings and briefs
Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients
Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
Drafting interrogatories and document demands
Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation
Submitting filings to the court
Education and Experience

J.D./LLM
Admitted to practice in New York required, additional admissions are a plus
Asbestos/toxic tort experience
Litigation and arbitration experience
Court room experience including motions
Trial experience a plus

Skills and Ability

Exceptional legal writing and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
