Key responsibilities
Overview
The core focus of this role is to implement business development strategies and campaigns for our Hong Kong and Greater China offices under the direction of the Senior Business Development Manager. This will involve establishing productive relationships across the business development team in Greater China, and at times in the Asia Pacific region or elsewhere, as well as with partners, lawyers and other business services teams.

Key areas of focus
Driving business development activity in line with business plans
Initiating, overseeing and delivering national projects and programmes aimed at identifying and winning new business and effectively managing relationships with existing clients
Proactively contributing to and developing of BD & marketing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for delivering marketing and business development services to the firm. In particular:
Supporting the team with preparation of and implementation of business plans and project managing their delivery
Manage and assist with pitch processes, including planning and presentation sessions, developing differentiating RFP responses and monitoring and logging the progress of pitches
Manage, and where necessary create, marketing materials, working with the design team, and undertake activities in support of the business development agenda – whether brochures, directory submissions, web pages, managing client information and mailing lists, newsletters, reports, social media, events such as seminars, conferences etc
Develop, coordinate and deliver marketing communication initiatives to support BD plans including PR, publications and online communications, working with the marketing communication teams
Support the ongoing collation of BD knowledge including pitch experience, intranet, legal directory submissions, and ideas for campaigns
Undertake, lead and drive various business development related projects, as and when required. This will often involve working with the regional teams.
Assisting with ad hoc translation, proofing and formatting of marketing, campaign and project collateral and documents
It is expected that the Business Development Coordinator:
Effectively advocate the aims of the firm's business development agenda, assisting partners, lawyers and team members in maintaining an awareness of these aims and guiding their implementation
Contribute to the continuing development of business development tools that support the implementation of our plans
Be a collegiate and supportive member of the regional and international business development teams
Maintain an overview of the developments taking place within the firm, with clients and the external market and communicate those developments to partners, lawyers and other team members
Exemplify the attributes that we wish to communicate to the market.

Candidate Profile
- Academic and executive skills
- University qualifications in marketing, law or a business-related discipline
- Law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Robust commercial sense and a deep interest in the business world
- Strong IT skills with experience of CRM systems (preferably InterAction), e-communication software (Vuture) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to assimilate information quickly and handle multiple priorities under pressure or within tight timescales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese
- Interpersonal skills
